My name is Martha and I’m a freelance artist from the UK. I have been drawing ever since I can remember but I never imagined I’d make a career out of it! In 2013 I graduated with a BA in Fine Art where I specialised in oil painting and traditional drawing. After my degree, I became very disillusioned with the modern art scene and hung up my palette and brushes for a long time.

I returned to art in 2019 and quickly realised that digital art was much better suited to the new, illustrative style I was developing. In 2021 I set up an Instagram account where I started taking part in challenges and became part of an incredible community of artists.

I always enjoyed drawing curves- I find lumps, bumps and soft lines so aesthetically pleasing. I hate the idea of a single, narrow beauty ideal and I use my art to rebel against that - curvy girls quickly became my new signature.

Today, I draw anything that inspires me but mostly I bring YOUR characters to life. The excitement when I manage to capture your vision in an illustration is what keeps me creating art today.
